What's New at Java Rhumba

Well, the dread moment has arrived.  Prices have gone up. The price of green coffee has pretty much doubled over the last year, owing mostly to commodities speculation,
but also to weather problems in nearly all the subtropical regions of the earth.  Ethiopia and India are holding on, but Sumatra and the Pacific region in general are not
doing so well.  I'm having a difficult time getting Fair Trade coffees.
But that's all my problem.  Your problem is that it is now $15 for regular coffee, $16 for decaf.
I have a new crop Oaxacan that I like, and a fresh bag of Harrar.  New Guinea Peaberry is good.
Out of Kona for now.
So, I'm hanging in for now and hoping things look up soon in the world of coffee.
Thanks,
Steve Willis
